You may not want to fling yourself around 30 feet in the air, but that doesn’t mean you can’t take advantage of the strength and flexibility aspects of aerial fitness training!
I’ve been practicing aerial arts for almost 10 years and it’s totally addicting! I can’t get enough of the way I leave the gym feeling strong and confident, like I could accomplish anything! I haven’t always been as strong as I am now. It has taken a lot of work to get to where I am today, and I know that there is still a lot further to go. When I decided to become a personal trainer, I wanted to be able to offer unique and challenging programs to help my clients get in or stay in shape. Aerial, Dance and Pilates Inspired Fitness does just that. It’s an exciting, challenging and totally accessible way to get your sweat on in ways you never imagined! That sounds fun right? But, what in the world does it mean?
Often times, when I tell people what I do, they have no idea what I’m talking about and are only slightly familiar with aerial acts from some of the big cirque shows. So, as you could imagine, trying to get people interested and excited about aerial inspired fitness is kind of difficult. Some people think that they aren’t strong enough or flexible enough to take part in an aerial workout, but that’s not true!
Aerial Fitness is for everyone!
It doesn’t matter how old you are or what your fitness level is, you can still take part in aerial inspired fitness sessions that will not only build a strong body, but also a strong and confident mind!
Of course, not everyone wants to become an aerialist and not everyone aspires to be a performer, so sometimes the word “aerial” can be a little off-putting and can sound a little out of reach (and even scary). Just because you don’t want to run away and join the circus, doesn’t mean that you can take advantage of the benefits of an aerial workout. Aerial fitness delivers a full body workout that allows you to defy gravity and use your body in ways you never thought possible. You’ll build an insanely strong core, gain incredible body awareness, balance and improve your flexibility.
