To celebrate National Women’s History Month, we’re highlighting the driven and creative women behind Soybu. Meet our Wholesale and Retail Customer Service Representative: Kim Mackintosh. We asked her some questions about her life and how she stays active. #SoybuSpotlight
What is your role within Soybu?
I have the pleasure to work with our Wholesale and Retail Customers in Soybu’s Customer Service Department.
Tell us about yourself. Are you a mom, busy professional, athlete, or all of the above?
I am a mother of two amazing boys and have been married for almost 10 years. I am also a Zumba Instructor, Certified in Kickboxing, and a 1st Degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do. When I am not on the football field watching my boys play, I am actively teaching Zumba Classes in the Lakewood, CO area.
What does being a woman mean to you?
Being a woman means supporting, empowering and encouraging others. Supporting others through their fitness journey, goals, and in life. Empowering those around you to stand up for what they believe in. Encouraging others to show more kindness and compassion to one another.
What woman has made an impact in your personal life and why?
I am blessed to have had many women impact my life. When you surround yourself with supportive, like-minded women, you see the world differently. From my family, friends, coworkers, and Zumba students, I cherish ALL the women in my life because they have taught me different things that have made me the person I am today.
#HowDoYouSoybu: How do you stay active in your life, community, or family?
I teach Zumba 4 times a week. I love dance fitness because the hour goes by so fast when you’re having fun! Music is good for the soul and my therapy. When I am not teaching Zumba, my family and I love to go camping at Eleven Mile where we dirt bike, fish, and enjoy the outdoors.
